When the Sun Shines in January
Being a natural light photographer, Michigan's blah winters may cause some to hibernate. I tend to fall into a slower pace of life myself. It's too cold to be outdoors, especially in the last couple weeks with high temps in the single digits. I do love it when the sun makes it way indoors, as in the case here. The 12" of snow on the ground certainly helped reflect the light indoors and that simply wouldn't happen on a warm, sunny mid-July day. Of course, if it were a beautiful mid-summer day I certainly wouldn't be indoors!
