Schools were closed today due to icy roads and fog. A winter storm is approaching. A friend called and invited us to Chuck E Cheese's and as sick as I am of that place, I jumped at the opportunity to get out before the big storm. Eli loved looking into the prize display. He REALLY wanted the soccer ball. If you've read my previous blogs, you'd know he loves balls. This was my first time playing around with selective color. I did it because I wanted to bring attention to his reflection and I didn't want to ignore all the bright colors. I almost cropped off the display case behind him, but I wanted to keep the floor tile to give the photo a sense of place. I could have cloned the back display colors into black, but I chose to leave it to pull the eye through the photo. I could have....yea, there's always more; I never know when to stop.
Stars & Stripes
Eli loved driving this monster truck, until Alex put in a token and the thing darted up, down, back and forth.
This image reflects my first month of photographs and my drive to continue. While this task is much more difficult than anticiaped, I know I will appreciate the outcome once it's completed.
