One Hundred Thirty-One

I love when my children are affectionate towards one another. They had worked so hard together to plant these flowers for me. I know from years of experience, my husband doesn't give into "hallmark holidays", including Mother's Day.  I took it upon myself to tell the kids I was taking them to a garden center and they could pick out flowers for me to display on the porch.  I had to give them a bit of direction since they both wanted the $40 planters already prepared. I told them how much fun they would have picking out flowers and planting them for me.  It's not about the flowers; it's about remembering the moments that are made while preparing something beautiful to look at all summer long.
