We spent the holiday at my parent's lake swimming, boating, and eating. I noticed the landscape near the waters edge dancing in evening sun and thought this would be an ideal opportunity for my daily photograph.
Of course no 4th of July is complete without sparklers and fireworks. I wanted to focus on the night with my family so I quickly put the camera away after a few sparkler shots.
Several years ago, I began a journey creating art with black and white film. Hours in the darkroom felt like minutes as I witnessed the true magic of my images appear on blank paper.
Today I still feel the magic as I take my artistic ability into my digital darkroom. My style is simple, natural, non-traditional, yet fun. I feel photography is much more than capturing one's physical features. It's about slowing down, stopping time and seeing the candid emotions in those moments, which I can preserve forever... just like magic.
I spend hours of my time shooting and processing my photos. They belong to ME. You may not copy, modify, sell, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, or license any photographs from this site without my written permission. Thank you for understanding the work of an artist :)
