Wow, it's hard to believe our little girl is growing so quickly right before our very own eyes. Chelsea recently celebrated her 8th birthday. We hosted her very first slumber party with her friends. I know my opinion is biased, but I do believe she is the most beautiful girl in the entire world. We love you so much, Chelsea!
Her friends drew her birthday greetings with sidewalk chalk in the driveway. We played games, ate tons of food and enjoyed this time with Chelsea.
I am no Betty Crocker, but at times I do try. I was desperate once I knew it was too late to order a custom DQ cake [thank you strep throat which put me out of commission a few days before her birthday]. And, finding anyone to make a cake the first weekend in June is impossible... open houses and wedding season!
After all the candles were lit and the singing complete, it was Eli who blew out her candles. We re-lit them, but then he sneezed in protest [on the cake, of course!]. Sometimes you just can't win...
So this is what it looks like when 8 girls stay up until 1230am... nobody wanted to move in the morning. I hope you had a fantastic 8th birthday, Chelsea!
