Day Three

Skate
3/366
Today I took my baby ice skating for the very first time. Before we took to the actual ice, I had her walk around in the house on the carpet to feel comfortable with her balance. I converted this photo to b/w because I have a weird greenish/blueish carpet that I can't wait to replace once the kids stop ....hmmm, being kids. I suppose maybe by that time, we might have a puppy?

More photos from today, just because:

Poor girl, I had her wear her brother's "super cool hot wheels" knee and elbow pads along with the matching helmet Santa gave him for protection on his new Razor scooter.

Of course, I didn't think about protecting her butt, which she fell on 100% of the time.

We stopped by my sister's house on the way home. Ate some lunch and went out again for round two (minus the "super cool hot wheels". This time her cousin came with her and as you can see, she fell on her butt too. The local newspaper photographer also showed up and shot some photos and took our names and girl's names & ages. Stay tuned...

The city does a nice job of clearing the flooded basketball courts for the winter rink. There was just enough snow to keep me on my feet, but my girl had her fair share of slips and slides. All in the joy of learning; and as a parent, it makes me smile.
