An inch of snow here, two inches there, combined with the six inches we received a few days back makes this dried wildflower struggle through the winter.
This particular flower was in snow that had drifted and was about two feet deep. Many of the surrounding flowers have been covered, but this one refuses to surrender.

Day Two, mission complete. I felt good about these as I was shooting. I love simplicity and texture, both of which I found. My snow did have a blue tint to it, I'd like to know why? I'm guessing it's something to do with exposure. I corrected using levels and added a bit of contrast...to MY liking :)
