Big Brother Helping Little Brother

Today was a busy day. It was Alex's last day of preschool, a school wide chalk draw in the morning (yes that's chalk all over Alex's jeans) and then his class had a picnic at the park. Of course I chaperoned the event and always bring my camera along. After school, we left for an extended weekend in Chicago to visit family. Alex can be sweet towards Eli at times, but most of his afternoon was spent playing with his classmates. He didn't even sit by us during lunch ... he's so ready for kindergarten.
Eli loves swinging, as all my children do. He prefers the big kid swing, but I feel much safer letting him fly in the baby swings.
Alex and his cousin are in the same preschool class. Here you can see them participating in the chalk draw, but they each have their own writing style. They were both experts at covering their hands and clothing with their creations.
This is one of Chelsea's classmates. She was determined to finish her chalk drawing even after the class had gone back indoors and the other classes were lining up. It was also pajama day at school and she was dressed to impress :) I loved the multi-colored curlers in her hair.
