Alex and new 'girl friend' played the king and mermaid where she'd wait patiently for him to come rescue her from under the climbing structure. He'd hustle up the playground equipment, then slide down the pole and onto her rescue. Anyone who knows my boy, knows the story of his tongue. If he's concentrating, it's out! He even does it when writing, coloring and playing any sport. You can see here, he's determined to not let his mermaid down :)
When we weren't playing at the park, and we weren't trapped indoors, the kids rode bikes and scooters. The park wasn't busy because of the poor weather so they basically had the roads to themselves.
And who says you can't swim when it's 57 degrees out? My husband took the kids down by the beach, and what-do-you-know I catch them in the water. I ran back to grab my camera [after instructing my husband to remove their jackets... men] and what started as just wading ended like this, soaked! They were fine in the water because it was actually warmer than the air, but when it was time to get out and change they were freezing! Good thing it started raining again and they were able to cuddle up and watch another movie.
